SPLIT SYSTEM AIR CONDITIONING

QUICK START GUIDE

The following is a basic guide for using your split system A/C in cooling mode. For more detailed instructions refer to the user manual.

  • Press the 'ON-OFF' button on the remote to turn on the A/C.
  • Set the A/C to 'COOLING' by pressing the 'MODE' button until a snowflake icon is displayed at the top of the remote screen.
  • Set the temperature to 24°C by pressing the up and down arrows on the temperature button until the number 24 is displayed in the middle of the screen.
  • Set the fan speed to 'AUTO' by pressing the fan speed button until 'AUTO' is displayed on the bottom left of the screen.
  • Once your done using the A/C, press the 'ON-OFF' button to turn off the A/C.
  • Note that when the A/C is turned on again, it will run on the last used settings.

TROUBLESHOOTING

MY A/C IS NOT GETTING COLD

  • Check that you have the A/C set to 'COOL' (snowflake icon displayed).
  • Check the return air filter for excess dust build up as this will restrict airflow.
MY A/C ISN’T HEATING (WINTER USE)
  • Check that the A/C is set to 'HEATING' (sun icon displayed).
  • The A/C can take up to 20 minutes to start heating and it is normal for it to begin with a very low fan speed.

MY A/C IS WORKING BUT THE TEMPERATURE IS NOT ACCURATE

  • Check that all windows and doors are closed to create an air tight room.
  • Allow time, approximately 30 minutes, for the A/C to condition the entire space.
  • Use the 'AUTO' setting for the fan, rather than a speed. This will allow the A/C to run the fan accordingly to the set temperature (the higher the fan speed, the lower the air temperature from the A/C will be).
MY A/C ISN’T DOING ANYTHING
  • Check your remote has a clear line of sight to the air conditioner.
  • Change the remote batteries.
  • Check the isolator switch, located next to the A/C, is on.
  • Check the switchboard for any circuit breakers that may be off.

DUCTED AIR CONDITIONING

QUICK START GUIDE

The following is a basic guide for using your ducted A/C in cooling mode. For more detailed instructions refer to the user manual.

  • Press the power button to start the A/C. The LED underneath the power button should glow green when A/C is on.
  • Set the mode to 'COOLING' by tapping the top left square on the touch pad, then select 'COOLING'.
  • Set the temperature to 24°C by tapping the middle 'SET TEMP' square on the touch pad. Use the arrows to adjust the temperature up or down until the number 24 is displayed, then tap 'SET' to confirm selection.
  • Set the fan speed to 'AUTO' by tapping the bottom right square on the touch pad, then select 'AUTO'.
  • After successfully completing the steps above, 'IN OPERATION AND RUNNING' will be displayed in the bottom rectangle of the touch pad.
  • Use the zone controller to turn on the required zones (rooms). A zone is 'ON' when the LED between the power and room glows green. Make sure all doors and windows are closed. Within 5 - 10 minutes you should feel the area start to cool down.
  • Once you're done using the A/C, press the power button to turn off the A/C. You should see the green LED turn off and 'NOW STOPPING' displayed in the bottom rectangle of the touch pad.
  • Note that when the A/C is turned on again, it will run on the last used settings.

TROUBLESHOOTING

MY A/C IS NOT GETTING COLD

  • Check that you have selected the 'COOLING' mode on the touch pad.
  • Check that the fan is set accordingly (higher fan speed will be cooler).
  • Check on the zone controller that the desired zones/rooms are on (LED glowing green).
  • Check the return air filter for excess dust build up, as this will restrict airflow.
MY A/C ISN’T HEATING (WINTER USE)
  • Check that you have selected the 'HEATING' mode on the touch pad.
  • The A/C can take up to 20 minutes to start heating and it is normal for it to begin with a very low fan speed.
THE TOUCH PAD IS BLANK
  • The A/C may not have power. Check the isolator, located next to the outdoor unit, or that the A/C breaker at the switchboard is not turned off.

MY A/C IS WORKING BUT THE TEMPERATURE IS NOT ACCURATE
